Colca Canyon 2 Days & 1 night

The Colca Valley is one of the most extraordinary destinations in the country. Throughout the region, you can see colorful pre-incan agricultural terraces, and in the Cross of the Condor, you can view the majestic flight of the condors.

FIRST DAY: 

The 07:45 am pickup from the hotel to go to the Colca Canyon, where we will begin our tour on the road toward Yura, where we will admire the natural and cultural landscape of the area, then we will walk around the Chachani volcano and pass by the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca until you get to Pampa Canahuas, in this place the guide will be released on the flora and fauna of the area, here also appreciate the natural habitat of the famous South American camelid THE VICUÑA.

Continuing with our tour on the way will make a small stop in Patahuasi (house at the top) to take a delicious mate de coca. Later we will continue the trip toward the bofedales where we will observe different species of birds both local and migratory season. Then continue to Patapampa, highest point of the trek located to 4710 m.a.s.l. approx. Also known as the Mirador de Los Andes, here you can view different volcanoes such as:

Mismi, Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya, Ampato, Ubinas and Chachani. 12:45 Approximately we will arrive at the town of Chivay where we will lunch in the restaurant chosen (voluntary) after a break in the afternoon we will enjoy a relaxing bath in the thermal waters «La Calera» and the time we can visit the museum of Collahuas and cabanas. (Optional) In the evening we will have dinner in the restaurant chosen.

SECOND DAY

After taking breakfast about 6am we will depart with destination to the Cruz del Condor Lookout, where you will be able to observe the majestic flight of the condors and the depth of the canyon. Return to Chivay visit of the villages of Pinchollo, MACA, Achoma and Yanque, in which we can observe typical dances of the area as well as the Lito models, colonial churches and terraces.

Around noon we arrive at Chivay, where we can taste the lunch (not included) .After our lunch we will aboard the bus to return to Arequipa, arriving at around 17:00 hrs, leaving them in their respective hotels.
