Classic Inca Trail Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 01 Cusco (3,300 m) – Km. 82 (2,800 m) – Huayllabamba (3,000 m)

Very early in the morning we pick up from your hotel in mobility that will take us up to kilometer 82, In Urubamba we will make a short stop so you can visit the local market and buy some supplies for the trek, then we continue with our tour until Piscacucho located on the kilometer 82 (2,800 m / 9,186 ft), Where is the first control and start our trekking so same where we will meet with the porters and cooks and equipment necessary for the tour. Day is beautiful and the first kilometers are easy to walk. We will have a beautiful view of the Nevado Veronica and also walk near to the Vilcanota river until we arrive to the archaeological complex of Llactapata, located 2,750 m / 9,022 ft Place where we will have lunch and then continue up to our first camp at Wuayllabamba to 3,000 m / 9,842 ft where will be the dinner we will spend the first night.

Day 02 Huayllabamba(3,000 m ) – Warmiwañusca (4,200 m) –  Pacaymayu (3,600 m)

After an energetic breakfast we start the most difficult part of the hike but not impossible, where we will walk toward the highest point in the Inca Trail where we have an incredible panoramic view of the whole area and you will be able to observe different types of microclimates that exists in the area of this Andean valley. After approximately 3 hours of walk we open named Warmiwañiusca name in quechua means (when the woman dies), this point has a height of 4,200 m / 13,779 ft, here you will have a great satisfaction at having reached the highest point in the Inca Trail. After this majestic experience we will have lunch and then continue to decline until you reach Pacaymayu (3,600 m / 11,811 ft) where we will have dinner and will be our second camp.

Day 03 Pacaymayu (3,600 m) Puyupatamarca (3665 m) – Wiñaywayna (2,700 m)

After our breakfast we started to walk to ascend to the second most important step of the Inca Trail that is located 3,850 m.a.s.l. for many visitors, this is one of the longer days, but at the same time one of the most beautiful, then we will ascend toward the lagoon Yanacocha (Black Lake) and continue until you reach the archaeological complex of Runkarakay (3,800 m / 12,467 ft) Where and we will have a guided tour of the entire complex as well of the citadel of Sayacmarca (3,600 m / 11, 811 ft), «The dominant people». Where we will appreciate interesting ruins incas and then of the tour we continue walking until you reach the archaeological complex of Puyupatamarca (3,665 m / 12,024 ft), «town on clouds» another important monument, here we will find ceremonial sources and terraces for cultivation and place where we will eat lunch, after a short break we will continue with the walk until you reach the last camp Wiñay Huayna (2,700 m / 8,858 ft), which means (Forever Young) where we will have a guided visit to the impressive archaeological complex. After the guided tour we will have dinner and where we will camp for the last night.

Day 04 Wiñaywayna (2,700) – Machu Picchu (2,490 m) – Cusco

This will be our last day of the walk where we will wake up very early and after breakfast we continue with a walk to arrive on time and to be able to appreciate the sunrise in Machupicchu. After an hour of walk we pass by the Inti Punku (2,490 m / 8,169 ft) or Puerta del sol also known as the gateway to the Machupicchu Possibly has been a control where you can appreciate the most impressive panoramic view of the entire citadel after this experience we will have a guided tour of 3 hours approximately by visiting the main sites as the enclosures, squares, Holy sources, Temples the agricultural sector and urban. You will then have free time so you can take photos independently. Then subject to coordination we will find ourselves with the rest of the group in order to be able to take the bus that will take us to the village of Aguas Calientes (if you want to you can continue in Machupicchu).
